Our client in Fishkill NY is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. As an A/P Clerk, you will be part of the accounting department assisting with all aspects of A/P. The ideal candidate will have strong Accounts Payable and Bookkeeping Skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Fishkill, NY
Pay Rate: 20.00/hr.
Temp-Perm Opportunity
Shift M-Fri 8am-5pm
What’s the Job?
- Accounting experience as an A/P Bookkeeper
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel is a must)
- Hands on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Excellent attn to detail is a must
- High School diploma required and an Associates Degree is a plus but not required.
What’s Needed?
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting dept
- Prepare bank deposits. reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Must be able to analyze financial data, as well as research, identify and solve problems
- manage all aspects of A/P as well as bank reconciliations, sales tax filing, journal entries and month end reporting
- Enter key data of financial transactions daily into database.
- Research, track and restore account or documentation of problems and discrepancies
