You will be part of the Global Accounting Delivery (GAD) team, where we strive for smart and nimble finance processes by analyzing financials to support the business in the best way. Global Accounting Delivery (GAD) is a team of 400 people operating from six different countries and representing over 30 nationalities! Our focus is to deliver compliant and quality assured financial information faster and smarter to support business decisions. We are now looking for an Accountant to join the Purchase-to-Pay (PTP) team in the Polestar team to be based in Madrid (metro Cuzco). Polestar is an all-electric car Swedish brand, which sells directly and online to consumers and listed on Nasdaq. What you'll do
You will coordinate with different teams and be responsible for daily execution of correct PTP processes. You will be the interface and the point of contact for our Polestar entities in the EMEA region and the Business Process Outsourcing delivery team. In addition to this, you will perform judgement-based issue resolution of inquiries relating to PTP processes.

In this role, you will secure correct accounting principles and comply with national and international laws and regulations as well as company guidelines. You will also be responsible for the accuracy of reported financial figures.

• Focus on the self-billing invoice processes of direct materials and support indirect material processes: On-boarding new suppliers, set up, fix issues, and detect improvement areas in the process
• Analysis of overdue invoices
• Management of supplier inquiries
• Approving invoice payment proposals
• PTP period end activities
• Analysis of KPIs
• Account reconciliation review
• Intercompany reconciliation
• Phone support for supplier calls
• Problem solve escalated tickets through the ticketing system

As part of our Continuous Improvement initiative, you will have the opportunity to coordinate projects in various areas and monitor rule-based activities performed by our Business Process Outsourcing delivery team.
What you'll bring
You have experience in Purchase-to-Pay processes in an international environment. You enjoy working in a structured way, but at the same time can detect areas of improvement within your area and like implementing their improvements.

• A university degree in Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Accounting and PTP processes
• Fluent in English both verbally and written (C1)
• Experience in SAP (MM/FI modules)
• Be a great communicator with good collaboration skills.
• Have an ability to plan and prioritize with a positive mindset.
• You have high integrity regarding your work
• Great analytical skills
