Metrology Inspector

About the Role 

Lotus is recruiting for a Metrology Inspector to join us at our Norwich site Lotus Advanced Structures. This role will support and conduct Metrology and Mechanical Inspection activities across all areas of the company. Working closely with operations and manufacturing teams to ensure part and assemblies are made to the highest standards. Providing support to our new chassis manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support measurement against detailed components 2D drawings and 3D CAD.
  • Aid in the measurement and validation of production jigs and fixtures.
  • Deliver the control plan, measuring parts and assemblies to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Produce professional, detailed measurement analysis & reports on production and prototype components.
  • Operate, program and problem solve on our suite of CMMs.
  • Represent Lotus and the Quality Dept in a professional manner to suppliers and technology partners

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • ONC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience of 2D and 3D measurement techniques and equipment
  • Working knowledge of tolerancing
  • Working knowledge of manual inspection tools
  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • Experience in working in a Metrology environment
  • Full Driving License
  • Ability to work shifts
